Cat 2.0 is here!

With help and advice from the INFOhio User Council Members INFOhio is rolling out our first edition of our online catalog using the SirsiDynix eLibrary catalog product.

Although the old Web2 catalog product has been discontinued by SirsiDynix, we will continue to use that software for our Cat Jr. until we can create a new catalog interface for young students using the new eLibrary software.

The Web2 based CAT for older patrons will continue to be available for the 2009-2010 school year but we encourage you to use the Cat 2.0. The new software is more capable and we think you will find searching is faster and easier.

Be sure to use the catalog navigation buttons to go back to previous pages!
Since your catalog searching is done within a particular login session using the Browser back button will not work well.

New Features:

• Additional search and display options
• Limit search to the item groups in your library
• Reading level search for Lexile level (521 tag)
• Online renewals and holds option
• 655 tags are included in the subject search index

So please click on the Feedback link and let us know what you think about Cat 2.0. Read the comments of others and respond. We hope that this site can be an online conversation about the new catalog from those using it across Ohio.

Students: We do want to hear your comments and suggestions about the online catalog.
But for suggestions of items that you would like to see in your library please contact your school librarian.  The online catalog design team has no vote in what is available in your school library so posting suggestions to this site will not help get the desired items in your library.
